IU Announces Next International Affairs VP

She has been part of the IU Maurer School of Law faculty for 20 years and currently serves as chair in Legal Ethics. Buxbaum succeeds David Zaret, who has held the position since 2011 and will retire in June.
She is also academic director of the IU Europe Gateway office in Berlin. Buxbaum’s previous positions with the law school in Bloomington include serving as interim dean for nearly two years beginning in January 2012. She has also been associate dean for research and executive associate dean for academic affairs.
Zaret’s accomplishments during his time in the position include launching gateway offices in Europe, India and China, sending a record numbers of IU students to study abroad and tallying a record number of international students.
