(Nasdaq: ININ) says it has signed a call center software contract with a major retailer. The $12.5 million deal with what Interactive Intelligence describes as a "large global retail company" involves its Customer Interaction Center technology.
The software will replace nearly 20 systems for a client with 1,000 agents managing hundreds of thousands of interactions per day. Interactive Intelligence’s Texas-based partner Automated Voice & Data Solutions closed the deal.
Interactive Intelligence Chief Business Officer Paul Weber says "it’s really nice to see such a large company put its trust in CIC to fulfill a very forward-thinking customer experience strategy. In addition, the size and scope of this deal underline CIC’s reputation as the true Sherman tank of contact center software."
The retailer also plans to use the software for unified communications and process automation tasks. AVDS projects the switch will lead to a nearly 175 percent return-on-investment in five years.
Interactive Intelligence has more than 2,000 employees and around three dozen offices worldwide.
