The Venture Club of Indiana presented a total of $24,000 to five top winners.
Indianapolis-based Ateios took home first prize and a $10,000 award. The company makes paper-thin, flexible and customizable batteries to be integrated into electronics manufacturing. The companies were judged on the breakthrough nature of the product or service, market size and competitive advantage and market strategy.
The Venture Club of Indiana Chairperson Sandy Wilcox says this was one of the strongest fields of startup companies to date.
“We began the Road to the Showcase with 22 contenders nominated by members of the Venture Club of Indiana, most of whom are investors themselves or lead investing groups. These individuals truly understand what it takes to be a breakthrough company. We congratulate our winners and every startup that participated. You truly represent the spirit of innovation that is alive and thriving across the great state of Indiana.”
Second place and a prize of $6,000 went to Smart Guided Systems in Indianapolis. Third place and $4,000 went to Indianapolis-based Menstrual Mates. Atlas Solutions in Bloomington and Chuqlab of Indianapolis each received fourth place prizes of $2,000.
