PLZ focuses on specialty aerosol and liquid product manufacturing. It is owned by Chicago-based Pritzker Private Capital and Management.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Mansfield-King produces, fills, and packages a variety of grooming products, such as shampoos, conditioners, and gels.
“Our partnership with PLZ will propel the combined company forward into its next chapter as we continue to deliver exceptional innovation, quality and service to our customers,” said Charles Haywood, founder and owner of Mansfield-King.
PLZ said with the acquisition, the company adds a Midwest facility dedicated to manufacturing personal care liquid products to its full-service personal care network.
The Illinois company is a contract manufacturer of 2,500 branded and private-label consumer products, including cleaners adhesives, air fresheners and personal care products.
