WHMB-TV 40, which is owned by South Bend-based LeSEA Broadcasting, has launched WHMB TV All Sports Channel 40.3 in conjunction with American Sports Network.
The channel will feature ASN programming that includes 15-20 live men’s and women’s college basketball and hockey games each week with replays airing at various times. ASN provides coverage of the Mid American Conference, which includes Ball State University, the Indianapolis-based Horizon League, Big Ten Hockey and Hockey East.
WHMB says the channel will also feature high school football and basketball, sports talk programming and multiple racing shows. The station says it will look to add more local programming in the future.
The Indianapolis market has been without an all sports channel since October when WRTV-TV sister station HTSN went off the air.
