The projects represent the company’s first forays into Warsaw and Bloomington.
RealAmerica is investing $14 million to build The 2525, a 60-unit apartment building in Warsaw. The project, which began in October 2022, will feature amenities such as a play cafe, telehealth room and a coffee bar.
Additionally, RealAmerica said it is working with local colleges to offer on-site tutoring and tuition reimbursement for residents.
“We believe everyone should be able to live in a home where they feel safe and supported,” President Ronda Shrewsbury said in a news release. “Being able to offer residents high-quality housing at a price point they can afford is the reason RealAmerica exists. We’re thrilled to be able to offer Warsaw families a community that will help them thrive.”
The 2525 is expected to open in early 2024 and is pre-leasing now.
Additionally, RealAmerica provided an update on the previously announced Retreat @ the Switchyard, a 64-unit apartment complex in Bloomington designed to cater mostly to lower-income and developmentally challenged residents.
The company is investing more than $21 million on the project, which will feature offerings such as 529 plan funding for resident children and common areas with internet-connected computers.
The development is also partnering with local not-for-profit Stone Belt to provide on-site services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Retreat @ the Switchyard is slated to open in the summer of 2024.
