The two-year studies, which began last summer, are designed to identify transportation needs on the highways and determine what improvements can be made.
INDOT said the studies span a total of 180 miles of highway across 12 counties. The U.S. 30 corridor stretches from Valparaiso to the Indiana/Ohio state line, excluding I-69 and I-469 around Fort Wayne.
The U.S. 31 corridor runs between Hamilton County and Plymouth, excluding the Kokomo bypass.
The seven public meetings, set to take place in the four study areas, will be used to provide insights gained from the public thus far, share additional data gathered by the study teams, and provide an overview of needs and desired outcomes, INDOT said Monday.
