The company announced Thursday it has acquired the accounting services business of San Francisco-based Facta Inc.
Facta is a technology company that has developed a software-as-a-service platform that focuses on financial data management. The acquisition is only for Facta’s accounting services business unit; the company will retain its technology and software operations, according to Decimal.
Decimal CEO Matt Tait says the deal builds on its November 2022 acquisition of KPMG Spark in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“The acquisition of Facta’s accounting services business brings Decimal one step closer to its goal of becoming the premier bookkeeping and tax solution for SMBs,” Tait said in a news release. “We constantly strive to provide our clients with the highest level of service possible. This acquisition and our previous KPMG Spark acquisition are part of a larger, ongoing strategy for expansion at Decimal.”
Decimal said all of the employees at Facta Accounting Services are being retained, bringing Decimal’s total employee headcount to 76 globally.
Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
