Indiana Tech received an anonymous $4 million gift for the project The donor wanted the structure to be named the Doug Edgar Indoor Track, who has served as head coach of the school’s track programs since 2010.
The TV station says Edgar’s teams have won 14 NAIA national championships and he’s been named NAIA coach of the year 11 times.
