Five higher education institutions in Indiana are included in the U.S. News & World Report “Best Global Universities” ranking. Schools were ranked based on 13 indicators that measure academic research performance, as well as global and regional reputations.

The list includes institutions from more than 90 countries. The Indiana schools and their ranking are listed below:

• Purdue University – West Lafayette: 127
• Indiana University – Bloomington: 141
• University of Notre Dame: 284
• IUPUI: 490
• Ball State University: 908

Harvard University tops the list followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, the University of California-Berkeley, and the University of Oxford.
