On Tuesday, the trade organization announced Andrew Berger will take over as president and CEO starting on Jan. 1.

In a statement, IMA Board Chair Angie Holt said the group is excited about the leadership change.
“After completing a thorough search process, the IMA Executive Committee determined Andrew possessed the background, skills and vision to lead the IMA into the next phase of its 100-plus year service to the Indiana manufacturing community,” Holt said. “Andrew has the experience and connections needed to effectively serve the evolving needs of our industry.”
Berger is replacing Brian Burton, who had previously announced his retirement after 25 years with the IMA.
According to a study released in 2023, Indiana’s priority advanced manufacturing is expected to grow by between 5-10% in the coming years.
