The awards were presented just before the in-person return of the brewery’s popular Dark Lord Day craft beer festival.
The CBMAs were presented on May 9 to recognize “excellence in the artistic and creative marketing and packaging efforts of breweries, designers and agencies.”
The Munster-based brewery won a platinum Crushie for its 2023 release calendar. The brewery also won a gold Crushie for having an outstanding sell sheet with its Zombie Dust Pale Ale & Cat Date IPA promotions.
3 Floyds was the only Indiana-based brewery to receive honors from CBMA this year.
Dark Lord Day celebrates the release of the brewery’s popular Dark Lord Imperial Stout, which is only available once a year. The festival draws thousands from across the country and features live music from death metal bands, food trucks, and visitors who trade rare bottles of craft beer.
The festival, which the brewery announced last year would return to an in-person event after being held virtually due to the pandemic, will take place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 3 Floyds Brewing in Munster.
The sold out event will feature performances from heavy metal bands Cannibal Corpse, Municipal Waste, and Pelican, among others.
