(Nasdaq: HURC) was co-founded by Gerald Roch and E.L. Humston with investments of $2,500 in 1968 and has since grown to employ around 750 globally. Hurco has a manufacturing, sales or engineering presence in countries including Taiwan, Italy, China and Germany. In addition to Indianapolis, its U.S. footprint includes Minnesota and Michigan.
The company’s top executive team of Chief Executive Officer Michael Doar, President Gregory Volovic and Chief Financial Officer Sonja McClelland has been in place for more than three years. Doar has led the company since 2001.
Hurco is planning a year-long celebration of its anniversary, which will kick off Tuesday afternoon at the company headquarters and include remarks from Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett.
