Horizon Transport names new president

Horizon Transport, headquartered in the Elkhart County town of Wakarusa, announced Monday that Rob Jackson has been promoted to president after more than two decades with the company.
Jackson most recently served as director of strategic planning for Horizon, and previously was drive away division manager.
The company said Jackson’s focus will be on further enhancing operational efficiency, promoting a culture of safety, and nurturing Horizon’s workforce.
“Mr. Jackson’s depth of industry knowledge, combined with his passion for innovation and employee empowerment, makes him the ideal candidate to lead Horizon Transport into its next phase of growth and success,” the company said in a news release.
Located in the RV capital of the world in Elkhart County, Horizon provides flat-bed, tow-away, and drive-away services for recreational vehicle manufacturers, dealers and other customers.
“I look forward to building upon the company’s strong foundation and working collaboratively with our exceptional team to continue delivering excellence to our clients while fostering a culture of employee ownership and innovation,” Jackson said.
Horizon is celebrating its 40th year in business this year. The company employs more than 50 workers in Wakarusa.
