Hoosier universities ranked among ‘most recognizable’

The ranking determines the most visible university brands by using a variety of metrics, including news mentions, public interest, and social media.
Purdue is ranked No. 9 on the overall list and is the highest-ranked public university. President Mung Chiang said in a news release the ranking underscores the university’s worldwide reputation.
“No matter their area of expertise, people at Purdue are persistently pursuing solutions to most-pressing challenges, impacting lives and enhancing our society,” Chiang said. “This recognition is really about those Boilermakers, as our marketing and communications team is merely amplifying their tireless efforts in making Purdue the most consequential public university by sharing those stories with audiences everywhere.”

- 482. Indiana State University
- 510. DePauw University

- 701. University of Saint Francis
- 759. Oakland City University
- 770. Martin University
The top five ranked universities are Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Columbia University, and University of Oxford.
