Subscribe NowA Midwest coordinated home care and home health services provider has acquired Michiana Home Care, which operates home health agency in northern Indiana. Financial terms for the acquisition by PurposeCare are not being disclosed.
Michiana Home Care, which has locations in Granger as well as Niles, Michigan, provides a variety of medical services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy, skilled nursing and wound care.
PurposeCare was founded in 2021 and operates home care and home health services in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
In Indiana, PurposeCare employs about 1,100 people at its locations in Anderson, Fort Wayne, Jeffersonville, Indianapolis, Kokomo and Lafayette, in addition to the Michiana Home Care team.
Along with Michiana Home Care, PurposeCare announced its acquisition of A/Abiding Care-Elder Bridge in Illinois and Queen City Skilled Care in Ohio.
“These latest acquisitions are strategic for PurposeCare as we move into the new year,” CEO Rich Keller said in a news release. “These additions to the PurposeCare family are well positioned to partner with our existing agencies. They will further our depth in these markets so we can continue to efficiently scale and serve our mission to help our clients live their best lives in the community.”
PurposeCare says it serves about 4,000 clients per month across its entire footprint.
