Beginning Saturday, guests will have the opportunity each day to vote on which of the park’s mascots will be the featured character in the show that night by scanning QR codes posted around the park.
Voting will be open until 5pm each day.
The theme park prides itself on its drone shows, which it has been putting on for three years now.
“We were pioneers in the theme park drone show field,”Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Holiday World owner and director of communications, said in a news release. “When Holidays in the Sky debuted in 2022, only two other parks in North America had drone shows. Now, the major Orlando parks are introducing drone shows, and we’re staying ahead of the curve with interactive light-up toys and the first audience participation in a drone show.”
The Holidays in the Sky drone and fireworks spectacular, which features 500 drones, will run from Saturday, June 22nd through Sunday, August 4th, and will begin at 9 p.m. CDT each night.
Holiday World said the best views of the show will be from the park’s Party Plaza, which will also feature a DJ dance party beginning at 8:30 p.m. that guests can enjoy before the show begins.
