Holcomb Names DLGF Chair

Bennett is completing his third term in office. Before joining the town as clerk-treasurer, Bennett was assistant branch manager for First National Bank and Trust and held sales and operations positions for Bank One. He is a member of the Accelerate Indiana Municipalities board and vice president of the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers. Bennett will resign those roles, as well as that of Hendricks County Republican Party chairman, once he is officially appointed DLGF commissioner.
He succeeds Courtney Schaafsma, who has been nominated by Indiana Office of Management and Budget Director Micah Vincent to lead the state’s Distressed Unit Appeals Board. Schaafsma is the longest-serving commissioner in DLGF’s history, holding the role since 2014.
