The Indiana Commission for Higher Education has named Alecia Nafziger and Stephanie Wilson associate commissioners. Nafziger currently serves as a fiscal analyst for the Indiana House Republican Caucus, while Wilson has served as press secretary for Governor Eric Holcomb.

Wilson will serve as associate commissioner for strategy and external affairs, while Nafziger will be associate commissioner and chief financial officer. Nafziger will be responsible for financial, budget and analysis of education finance issues. Wilson’s duties will include developing and executing the commission’s strategic plan.

Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education Teresa Lubbers says it’s "hard to imagine two people better prepared" for the positions, saying Nafziger and Wilson will add "valuable expertise" to the commission.

The appointments are scheduled for final approval by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education on Thursday, August 9 at the commission’s meeting at Ball State University.
