The company said there is no evidence that any customer or employee information was accessed during the breach.
On June 10, Haynes said it began experiencing a network outage that was indicative of a cybersecurity threat. The company hired third-party specialists to investigate the source of the outage and its potential impact.
“Although various aspects of the company’s networks were down while the company retained specialists and remediated the incident, all of the company’s manufacturing operations are now running, albeit with some operating inefficiencies,” Haynes said in a news release. “In addition, the company has substantially restored its administrative, sales, financial, and customer service functions.”
Haynes did not provide any information on what caused the incident, but said its investigation and restoration efforts are still ongoing.
The company said the response caused some delay in product shipments, but it is too early to determine the full impact on its quarterly financial results.
Haynes develops, manufactures and markets advanced high-performance alloys for the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, and chemical processing markets.
