The HCI Scholars Program aims to meet the high demand for mental health professionals, according to a news release.
“We are thankful to Hamilton Center, Inc. for partnering in this program, and we believe that this will be a true benefit to them in their pursuit of mental health professionals to serve the Wabash Valley,” interim college President Brennan Randolph said in the release.
The tuition discounts are 20% or 40%, depending on the field of study, Hamilton Center said. The fields include master’s degree programs in clinical mental health counseling, business administration, leadership development, and health care administration. Bachelor’s degree programs or certificates in addiction counseling also are included, as is the doctoral program in global leadership.
“Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College has been a strong partner of Hamilton Center’s for many years,” Melvin Burks, president and CEO of Hamilton Center Inc., said. “This quality institution is perfectly positioned to offer our employees a top-notch education that will benefit our consumers and the entire community.”
To help launch the program, the Hamilton Center Foundation will provide a $175,000 gift to the Catholic liberal arts college, the news release said. After graduation, HCI Scholars will agree to at least two years of employment with the health care provider in Terre Haute or another Indiana community.
