Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana has a new senior vice president of administration and chief financial officer in Matt Fortney.

Fortney, a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of leadership experience, will lead the organization’s administrative and financial functions.

Previously, Fortney served as CFO of Freeland Group Restaurants, where Goodwill said his strategy led to the company acquiring 38 Pizza Huts and becoming a franchisee of Dave’s Hot Chicken. Prior, he was CFO, vice president and general manager with Group Delphi and Icon Exhibits. 

“I’m excited to transition into the not-for-profit sector, especially a social enterprise with the many decades of proven success that Goodwill has,” Fortney said in a news release. “The opportunities are endless, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Fortney will begin his new role next month.
