Gary Community School Corp. launches AWS certification

Florida-based MGT Consulting, the manager of Gary Community School Corp., is partnering with Trek10 to launch a technical education summer camp for juniors and seniors in the district. The program will offer students the opportunity to become Amazon Web Services certified.
The 10-week summer camp runs from June 7 to July 27 and includes an online training program designed to prepare students for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification exam.
The district says the initiative will include up to 40 students who will participate in the program and exam for free.
“We are excited to partner with Gary’s Career Center to find students that can participate in the program,” said Eric Parish, executive vice president of MGT Consulting. “By earning a cloud certification recognized and respected in the industry, we are creating a sustainable program that will help students find careers after school and help transition them into happy, productive adults.”
Gary Schools says Trek10 is an AWS Premier Partner that focuses on education for youth looking to skill up via the Launch Program and with an annual internship class.
