The health system’s Social Impact Partnership Program announced last week it is awarding $448,000 in total to “foster long-term relationships with community providers to better address significant health issues among vulnerable populations.”
Programs receiving funding range from Catholic Archdioceses to food banks to housing support and mental health advocacy groups. Organizations all over the state, and even a few in the southern Chicago suburbs are receiving funding.
A full list of programs receiving money can be found on Franciscan Health’s website.
“This program honors the incredible work our partners provide to community members each and every day,” Kate Hill-Johnson, administrative director of Community Health Improvement for Franciscan Health, said in a news release. “We are proud to support their efforts as we build the communities’ health together.”
Franciscan also says they are open to collaborating with the organizations getting funding to help them plan and use the money effectively. The release says grant awardees were chosen by their demonstrated ability to impact priority health needs in their regions.
