Fort Wayne’s Rival Holdings acquires Michigan construction company

Subscribe NowFort Wayne-based Rival Holdings is adding to its portfolio with the recent acquisition of Mason, Michigan-based general contractor Laux Construction. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Rival Holdings was established in 2023 and is the parent of Ambassador Supply and Via Developments, both also based in Fort Wayne.
Founded in 1996, Laux Construction specializes in commercial construction in the education, health care, and industrial sectors. The company serves the greater Lansing area, recently leading work on the the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Legacy Parkway and a new building for Michigan Virtual University.
Laux employs nearly 40 workers, and a spokesperson for Rival Holdings said in an email to Inside INdiana Business that all jobs are being retained with the acquisition.
“We have been searching for a strong partner in the commercial construction industry, and we are thrilled to welcome Laux Construction to the Rival team,” Rival Holdings CEO Brad Crawford said in a news release. “The industry is on a growth trajectory, and Laux has demonstrated strong momentum while maintaining a positive reputation for quality and service. They will be an important part of our strategy to impact the built environment.”
This is the second acquisition for Rival Holdings since its inception last year. In December, Ambassador Supply announced it had acquired Ideal Steel, a manufacturer of pre-engineered steel buildings and components headquartered in Broussard, Louisiana.
