Fort Wayne senior living community acquired

Subscribe NowFort Wayne-based Lutheran Life Villages is adding to its portfolio with the acquisition of an assisted living and memory care assisted living center in the city. Financial terms of the deal for BrightStar Senior Living are not being disclosed.
The not-for-profit says the facility will be rebranded as The Village at Pine Valley – Assisted Living & Memory Care Assisted Living.
A spokesperson for Lutheran Life Villages told Inside INdiana Business that the community has about 35 full-time and part-time employees, all of whom are being retained with the acquisition, and the organization expects a seamless transition.
“The addition of this new location in north Fort Wayne increases our ability to provide residents with the specialized care they need, when they need it,” CEO Alex Kiefer said in a news release. “We are excited to welcome BrightStar Senior Living of Fort Wayne staff members, residents and their families into the Lutheran Life Villages family of communities.”
Lutheran Life Villages operates six senor communities in Fort Wayne and Kendallville, including one less than two miles south of the newly-acquired community, which has the capacity to serve 41 individuals in an assisted living setting.
The organization plans to host an open house to celebrate the acquisition on Jan. 9.
