The company announced Wednesday it will move into the Electric Works mixed-use innovation district off of Broadway Street at the end of the year.
The relocation marks another company entering the mixed-use space that was redeveloped from the remnants of a former General Electric Factory.
K&K CEO Ron Norton said in a news release that the move makes better sense for the company in a world where most workers have hybrid schedules and are not in the office every day.
“While our current location no longer serves our needs, we’re happy that K&K will remain in Fort Wayne and excited about our move to the Electric Works campus,” Norton said.
K&K employs around 260 people and offers insurance specializing in sports, motorsports and other recreational activities.
Electric Works finished the first phase of its $286 million development in 2022 as a space for offices, retail shops and entertainment.
K&K currently is headquartered in an office park near I-69 west of downtown.
