The event is bringing more than 1,000 national and international attendees to the city and will feature fireworks demonstrations each night.
More than 100 vendors are exhibiting at the event to fireworks shop owners from around the world.
The expo also “represents the interests of fireworks manufacturers, importers, and sellers on a national level before Federal lawmakers and regulators,” according to a Visit Fort Wayne news release.
The agency told IIB the event will produce over 1,700 hotel room nights throughout the week and generate an estimated $900,000 in economic impact.
“Selling to groups who can hold their conventions in Fort Wayne can take years, and NFA is a perfect example,” Josie O’Donnell, senior sales manager at Visit Fort Wayne, said in the release. “When I began the sales process in 2018, I wasn’t deterred because I always knew Fort Wayne would be a great location for NFA’s Fall Expo. Our connected, walkable downtown convention package provides these attendees with fabulous meeting space, convenient lodging, parking, and many dining options.”
The goal of the expo to educate individuals in the industry with a focus on safety education. Shoot demonstrations will be held at Kruse Plaza in Auburn with about 10-15 demonstrations each night.
The public is also invited to watch the Friday night demonstration at Kruse Plaza at 8 p.m. with free admission.
