The credit union has invested $9 million in the facility, which houses its business banking and mortgage teams and will also house a future call center.
Officials broke ground on the 28,000-square-foot building at 8815 Lima Road in June 2021. The facility includes a full-service credit union branch and features amenities such as rooftop solar panels and two electric vehicle charging stations for public use.
“As we continue to grow, the size of our former headquarters on the west side of Fort Wayne limited the amount of services we could offer,” President and CEO Steve Collins said in written remarks. “We were fortunate to find the location on Lima Road to build a new headquarters that gives us the space we need to expand our lineup of products and services to meet the needs of our membership.”
Fort Financial said the branch portion of the building will be open six days a week and include a self-service digital banking station and exterior ATM.
The credit union recently opened another branch on the city’s northeast side and plans to open an additional branch on the southwest side this spring.
Officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday at 9 a.m.
