The $20 million, 1,830-seat venue will host a soft opening concert on Oct. 4 featuring The Classic Rock Experience, which will feature hits from legendary bands such as Led Zeppelin, Queen and Pink Floyd.
Officials broke ground on the project in June 2023, when the venue was originally named the Gas City Music Center. The venue was partially funded with $2.75 million in Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative, or READI, funds.
“We are so excited to start rolling out shows and cannot wait to introduce the venue to the public,” David Slaughter with NoteWorthy Entertainment, which has been tapped to manage the facility, said in a news release. “This venue will serve as a pillar of the community and attract visitors state and region wide.”
The grand opening will take place Oct. 11 with Beatles tribute band Hard Day’s Night, followed by the Roots & Boots Tour featuring country music stars Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw and Collin Raye on Oct. 13.
Tickets for all three shows are on sale now.
In addition to touring shows from national and regional music artists, the venue will feature comedy and theater shows. It will also be used by Mississinewa Community Schools for their fine arts programming.
