Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based benefits and compensation advisory firm FirstPerson has launched its own philanthropic foundation. The company said it intends to fund the FirstPerson Advisors Foundation through its annual revenues, with a goal of contributing 1% annually.
Employees will be encouraged to donate to their favorite charities in which FirstPerson will match up to $1,000 a year.
“A matching gift not only allows employees to double their personal charitable impact, but it also gives them a voice in how the Foundation contributes to the community,” said Mark Minner, FirstPerson president.
The company said it had intended to launch the foundation sometime this year, but accelerated its development due to the pandemic and what it calls racial injustice.
The foundation will be managed by the Central Indiana Community Foundation.
