FedEx employee charged with stealing cell phones

The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office said Paul Alex Deatrick, 40, was arrested on May 23.
In a post on Facebook, Chief of Operations Derek Fell said detectives discovered the possibility of multiple thefts occurring from the FedEx Ground location at 5300 Margaret Drive where Deatrick was employed.
Detectives then conducted a search at Deatrick’s home and found more than 100 cell phones from the FedEx facility, as well as other alleged stolen items.
Deatrick was arrested at the FedEx office and transported to the Vigo County Jail. He faces six felony counts of theft, as well as one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.
