Fairchild Communications expands to Ohio

The telecommunications company said Thursday it has acquired the education and commercial sound business of Zaiser Communications Inc. in Toledo, Ohio.
Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed. Fairchild, which also has offices in Fort Wayne and Osceola in St. Joseph County, said it will leverage longstanding partnerships to bring its services to educational, industrial campus, healthcare and other markets in northwest Ohio.
“We are thrilled to expand into Toledo and provide our services to new clients as well as some of Zaiser’s existing clients,” Fairchild founder and President Chuck Fairchild said in a news release. “This new venture opens doors for us to serve the northwest region of Ohio with our exceptional security and communication services. We are confident that this growth will bring success to our company and enable us to help more clients in the area.”
A spokesperson for Fairchild told Inside INdiana Business the company is retaining two full-time employees, and has plans to build a staff of up to 10 employees in Toledo over the next year. The company is primarily looking for a branch manager to lead the Toledo office.
Fairchild currently has more than 90 employees across its four locations.
Fairchild said Zaiser Communications will continue to serve its subscription background music customers.
