Tina Rhoden-Lewellyn brings 30 years’ experience to the nonprofit that helps teenagers struggling with mental health challenges.
The foundation arranges and supports paid, part-time internships at livestock farms, stables, and equine therapy facilities across central Indiana for teens.
Since its founding in 2017, founder Brose McVey has been serving as a part-time executive director and board chairman. He started the foundation in honor of his late son, Ben, who struggled with mental health. Last November, the organization said it was launching a search for his replacement.
“I am very excited to see Ben’s Ranch Foundation evolve and grow,” McVey said. “The organization is in great hands with Tina, as I know she will ensure we continue to help even more teens with their mental health challenges. I will continue to be very involved and lead our Board of Directors.”
The organization says the jobs compliment medical therapies by helping give teens purpose and exposure to the healing powers of animals and nature.
Most recently, Rhoden-Lewellyn served as program manager for Community Health Network, where she was responsible for overseeing staff and programs at Lutherwood, a residential treatment center for youth with behavioral and mental health challenges.
