AWS, Old National Bank and Sweetwater Sound collaborated with Greater Fort Wayne Inc. on the Employing People With Disabilities Initiative that is designed to bring people and employers together by offering support and resources on accessible workplaces.
AWS Foundation CEO Patti Hays says they believe many jobs will be filled through the inclusive hiring initiative. “GFW Inc. will provide the missing link in how best to connect businesses that are hiring and people with a disability seeking employment. AWS Foundation is pleased to provide funding for this important initiative that supports both individuals with disabilities and area employers.”
The initiative provides a centralized information hub to identify potential candidates and available resources for support. The program is led by Kevin Morse, who is serving as GFW’s disability employment services coordinator. Morse is employed by GFW Inc., but will also work with companies to identify work-ready candidates on their behalf. For more information on the program, click here.
