The Texas-based company announced Tuesday it has acquired the Nitro Swim School location in Fort Wayne, though financial terms were not disclosed.
The 8,000-square-foot school will be rebranded under as Emler Swim School Fort Wayne. The school is located near the intersection of State Road 37 and I-469.
“This is a wonderful addition to the Emler Swim School family,” Emler Swim School CEO Greg Laird said in a news release. “Fort Wayne is a market that Emler Swim School has been looking at for several years. It is a vibrant and engaged community with young families.”
Emler did not specify whether any jobs would be affected by the acquisition.
Nitro Swim School owner Mike Koleber said the acquisition came at the right time for his company.
“We truly enjoyed serving the wonderful families in the Fort Wayne area, but the difficulty of being multiple states away proved to be daunting; especially as we currently expand our reach in our home state of Texas,” Koleber said. “The Emler folks run a quality organization and we are confident that our staff and swim families will be well taken care of.”
Nitro will continue to operate its existing locations in Cedar Park, Texas and Bee Cave, Texas.
The acquisition comes less than a year after Emler acquired Stony Creek Swim Center in Noblesville. However, that location retained the Stony Creek name.
