Elevate Northeast Indiana along with Steuben, Noble, LaGrange and DeKalb Economic Development Corporations will put on the first annual Open Mic Speed Pitch events in each of the partnering counties.
“Elevate Northeast Indiana is thrilled to be linking arms with Steuben, Noble, LaGrange, and DeKalb EDCs as we launch this new event in an effort to provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch their businesses, get important feedback, uncover new opportunities, expand their network, and get inspired!” said Dan Meek, entrepreneur in residence at Elevate Ventures.
Those pitching must share their ideas and answer five questions:
- What is the problem?
- How are you solving it?
- How are you different than the competition?
- Who is on your team?
- What are your next steps?
The first four pitch events have been announced.
Noble County’s event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at Community Learning Center in Kendallville. Steuben County will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Steuben EDC Office/Coworking Space in Angola.
LaGrange County’s event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at Linder’s on Main in LaGrange. DeKalb County will host its event from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hartland Winery in Ashley.
