The campaign received 11,000 donations since its public launch in October 2022.
Earlham President Anne Houtman launched the campaign with a goal of raising $85 million to support initiatives to bolster student recruitment and retention on the Richmond campus.
“I am grateful for the incredible generosity of the many people who have contributed to this record-breaking campaign,” Earlham President Anne Houtman said. “Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our students and ensuring that our proud legacy of changing the world for good endures.”
Among the major donations, the collage said, was nearly $50 million to enhance recruitment initiatives and expand endowed scholarships. Earlham also received $56 million to endow the Clarence Cunningham Student Emergency Fund and “transform the residential experience on College Avenue.”
The college said it will begin strategic conversations to create a long-term plan to renovate or rebuild student housing on College Avenue.
“The impact of this campaign extends far beyond the impressive dollar amount raised,” said Kim Tanner, vice president of institutional advancement. “It signifies a resounding commitment to ensuring that every student benefits from the best we have to offer.”
