Duke Energy has named Brian Powers general manager of its Gibson Generating Station in Owensville. The move was effective July 1. He succeeds Mike Mosley, who was promoted to vice president for Midwest generation. 

Powers began at Duke in 1995 and served as general manager for their Crystal River North generating station in Citrus County, FL. He also filled other leadership roles for Duke, including in environmental services, plant operations, maintenance, and project and station management.
