DOD Chooses AmeriQual For Ration Production Contract

It involves producing food rations for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. The U.S. Department of Defense says the work will cover five years.
AmeriQual Group LLC has two Evansville facilities. The 375,000 square-foot packaging plant assembles meal kits, group feeding rations, variety packs, retail store packs and single-serving dry snack items. In addition to supplying the military for over 25 years, AmeriQual says it also provides global humanitarian and disaster relief rations.
Cincinnati-based The Wornick Co. was awarded a nearly $450 million contract for unitized group rations. The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia is the contracting activity for the agreements.
