Subscribe NowCarmel-based development firm Equicor Co. is planning to build three new industrial buildings in Noblesville. Our partners at the Indianapolis Business Journal report the Saxony Industrial Center will be built on 45 acres near Ruoff Music Center.
Work on the speculative buildings is expected to begin in May with the construction of a 200,000-square-foot facility. Once that project is complete, construction will begin on a 300,000-square-foot building and a smaller, 115,000-square-foot facility.
Equicor says the buildings could create at least 200 jobs.
“What Noblesville is looking for is high-paying development and research-type jobs, but with as hot as the industrial market is, there’s not a lot of product there right now,” he said. “We’re pretty excited about building these speculative buildings up there. We think being near retail and close to (Interstate 65) makes this an ideal location for companies in need of space.”
