Subscribe NowThe Indiana Destination Development Corp. has named David Holt as chief operating officer and chief of staff. Holt joins the IDDC after serving as senior vice president for development and community affairs for South Bend-based Holladay Properties.
He is also a former vice president of federal relations, education and healthcare policy for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
The agency says in his new role, Holt will oversee all staff and strategic initiatives.
“David comes to IDDC with a resume that includes working in and around government, while also having both private and not-for-profit sector experience,” said Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch. “We are excited to have his knowledge and experience that will help continue the growth of this important agency.”
Holt also helped establish Conexus Indiana, the nonprofit advanced manufacturing and logistics initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, where he served as vice president of operations and business development.
“We are thrilled to have David join the IDDC,” said Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Indiana Destination Development Corp. Elaine Bedel. “We will benefit from his proven track record of success and his past experience that has prepared him for this role.”
Holt’s career also includes service in the administration of President George W. Bush as Chief of Staff to the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education, as well as a senior legislative aide on Capitol Hill to U.S. Representative David McIntosh (R-Muncie).
