IN3 says Kelly is retiring in July from the role he has held since 2019.
The Bloomington-based organization works with academia, industry, and government to create a hub of national security innovation in Indiana in support of the U.S. Department of Defense.
The organization collaborates with Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, Indiana and Purdue Universities, and defense-focused businesses.
“Finding an individual to replace someone of Steve’s caliber and intellect is somewhat like trying to find a unicorn, but I – along with the rest of our board of directors – am confident…[we] will find exactly the right person to lead IN3 into the next phase of its remarkable journey,” said IN3 Board Chairman Gen. Gene Renuart (USAF, Ret.).
IN3 has hired Carmel-based executive search firm Medallion Partners Inc. to conduct the nationwide search.
