Deckers Brands, which owns popular footwear brands such as Ugg and Teva, is occupying a more than 1 million-square-foot distribution center in the Westpoint Business Park.
Deckers currently operates a more than 500,000-square-foot distribution center at the business park in Mooresville, plans for which were first announced in June 2021. The company has another facility in Moreno Valley, California.
The company declined to provide any additional details to Inside INdiana Business but said in an SEC filing that it expects the new facility to be operational in its next fiscal year ending March 31, 2024.
The Westpoint Business Park is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of I-70 and State Road 39. The park is owned and developed by Indianapolis-based Ambrose Property Group.
A spokesperson for Ambrose confirmed that a single user was leasing Building V in the park, but declined to name the company, saying the business wished to remain confidential.
Ambrose has plans for a total of 10 Class-A industrial buildings at WestPoint Business Park. Five are now occupied and the remaining planned buildings range from 248,000 to 1.2 million square feet.
