Financial terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed.
Founded in 1987, Palatine is a distributor of doors, frames and hardware for the greater Chicago area. The company also provides in-house fabrication services, including welding and assembly.
Dealers Wholesale said the deal builds on its 2021 acquisition of Wisconsin-based safety and surveillance technology company ClearPath Connections.
“By combining Dealers Wholesale’s expertise in new construction projects and broad product portfolio with PBS’s strengths in retrofit solutions and ClearPath’s advanced, technology-driven capabilities, we are uniquely equipped to address diverse customer needs,” Dealers Wholesale CEO Jimmy Rayford said in a news release.
A spokesperson for Dealers Wholesale told Inside INdiana Business that Palatine has 14 employees, all of whom are being retained with plans to grow the company.
Palatine General Manager Sarah Saisi and Sales Manager Mark Brasseur are among those remaining on board.
“Dealers Wholesale shares our commitment to exceptional service and customer-first solutions. Their vision and values align perfectly with ours,” Saisi said in the release. “Together, we’re well-positioned to offer customers greater efficiency, peace of mind, and a seamless experience.”
The acquisition brings Dealers Wholesale’s employee headcount to 120.
