Deaconess to Make ‘Major’ Announcement

Evansville-based Deaconess Health System plans to make a "major" announcement Wednesday afternoon. The announcement expected to involve jobs and advancing health care for the region.

Last month, Deaconess broke ground on a $10.4 million inpatient Deaconess Hospice House. That project is expected to be completed near the end of the year.

Deaconess also announced a partnership last month with Ivy Tech Community College to provide its staff with the ability to further their education and skills training. The Achieve Your Degree program is being offered to employees with no out-of-pocket costs.

The announcement will be made Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
