Accelera by Cummins has named Brian Wilson general manager of eMobility and Andreas Lippert as vice president and general manager of electrolyzers.
In March, Cummins announced the rebranding of its New Power business unit to Accelera by Cummins. The new branding was designed to spotlight the manufacturer’s focus on zero-emissions technologies, including batteries, electric motors, and electrolyzers.
Wilson has been with Cummins since 2008 and most recently served as general manager of electrified components for the parent company. In his new role, Wilson will lead Accelera’s new eMobility business, which has a focus on a variety of battery electric vehicle products such as batteries, e-axles and traction systems.
Lippert, who joined Cummins in 2020, most recently served as vice president of Accelera Engineering, and will lead the company’s electrolyzer business. Electrolyzers are used to split water to create green hydrogen, which can then be stored as a liquid or gas and used as an alternative to fossil fuels.
“I am proud to announce these appointments within the Accelera leadership team as we continue to position the business to win in the electrification and hydrogen markets,” Accelera President Amy Davis said in a news release. “This represents the continued evolution of Accelera as we drive technical innovation and optimize our support of customers on their decarbonization journey.”
Accelera was spotlighted last month on an episode of Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick, which you can watch here.
