Family-owned Crossroads Galvanizing LLC says plans call for up to 60 new workers within its first year.
Manager Jason Monnig says that number has potential to grow in the future. He adds "for us, the choice to locate a plant in Lafayette was an easy one. From the outset, we noticed a strong workforce and a "can-do" attitude from City and County officials."
Construction on the $18 million project is expected to be complete early next year. The company plans to partner with manufacturers throughout the Midwest, including Lafayette-based Wabash National Corp. (NYSE: WNC).
"Being a third generation, family-owned and operated organization," Monnig said, "we know the importance of being in a community that reflects our company’s mission. We look forward to the opportunities that being in Lafayette will provide."
