Cork Medical names new president

The company said in a news release that it has been undergoing rapid growth and hopes that Cates will help continue to foster that growth with improved efficiency and a unique leadership strategy.
“My leadership philosophy is predicated on eight key principles: service, empowerment, listening, development, inclusivity, collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement,” Cates said in the release. “These principles allow me to be a servant leader centered around selfless service, empathy, and a commitment to the growth and well-being of those I lead.”
With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare and global manufacturing industries, Cates has held various leadership and operational positions at multiple organizations prior to this appointment, including Ascension St. Vincent Indiana, General Electric, and Blue Circle Cement. He also served as an infantry platoon leader in the United States Army.
Cork Medical, founded in 2007, provides wound care solutions to a variety of customers in the
healthcare industry, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and nursing homes.
