Paschen is expanding its presence with a new regional office in Michigan City. The company said Thursday it made an initial investment of $250,000 to build out the space, and is adding nine jobs.
The new office at 2146 N. Karwick Road brings the firm’s total employee headcount in Indiana to 15, with up to 50 seasonal tradespeople.
“Our area of focus for the work we build is within up to 90 minutes of Michigan City,” Civil Operations Manager James Reitz said in a news release. “We all thoroughly enjoy being close to Lake Michigan where we all spent summers at the beach as kids and now as adults. Michigan City is our new home, and we could not be happier being here.”
F.H. Paschen is involved in a variety of projects in northwest Indiana, most notably the $945 million West Lake Corridor extension of the South Shore Line from Gary to Dyer that is currently under construction.
Michigan City Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch said the addition of the company will support continued growth in the city.
“F.H. Paschen brings vital construction industry offerings even closer to our city with the addition of an office ready to support our many projects, today and in the future,” the mayor said. “Our city continues to see a construction boom–on both a large and small scale – that needs the support and services of such companies as F.H. Paschen.”
F.H. Paschen also has a location in Lafayette and employs more than 500 people across the country.
